A graduate in Aerospace Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin, he started his professional career in the Business Advisory Services unit of KPMG Italia. In 2006, after following several Business Process Reengineering projects at national and international level, he left the company to resume his university studies, focusing on energy and earning a PhD in energy engineering. Since 2008, he has been a partner and Managing Partner of Trigenia Srl, an energy services company specialising in providing energy-intensive industries with consultancy services on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, decarbonisation plans, technologies and methodologies for electrifying consumption, and the development and implementation of SCADA solutions for the monitoring, control and optimised management of energy plants. Since 2010 he has been an adjunct professor at the Department of Energy ‘Galileo Ferraris’ of the Polytechnic of Turin.
