  • He graduated in Economics and Business from the University of Turin and completed his education at U.C.L.A. in Los Angeles and at Harvard Business School in Boston, where he attended, among others, the OPM (Owner and President Management) programme.
    He began his professional activity while at university, in 1978, at Klippan car seat belts and in 1980 at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he became the youngest Senior Consultant.
    From 1984 to 1987 he was responsible for the restructuring of the publishing house Giulio Einaudi Editore, then under extraordinary administration, which was returned to private ownership after only 3 years.
    Between 1988 and 1995 he was chief executive officer or director of several companies (Tecknogamma Factoring, Tecknogamma Leasing, Metalmeccanica Plast, Componenti Presse, La Compagnia Immobiliare), gaining experience both in finance and in machine tools and construction.
    In 1995 he founded Asja Ambiente Italia (www.asja.biz), a company of which he is still chairman and shareholder, which operates internationally, with offices in China and South America, in the production of electricity from renewable sources and the reduction of greenhouse gas (CO2) emissions, in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol. Asja is also active in research on new environmental technologies and since 2008 has been present in the Business Research Center of the Politecnico di Torino. The company has recently entered the energy efficiency and micro-cogeneration sector.
    Since May 2011 Re Rebaudengo has been president of assoRinnovabili, the largest Italian association of renewable energy producers in terms of representativeness and history.
    In 2012 he founded Reba Capital UK Llp, an investment company authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority operating in renewable energy and sustainable crops.
    Always attentive to the world of culture: he was a board member of the Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art, president of the Teatro Stabile di Torino from 1996 to 2007, and is still involved in non-profit organisations, including the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo for contemporary art, of which he is co-founder and vice president. From 2010 to 2013 he was also president of Fidas ADSP Associazione Donatori Sangue Piemonte. Since September 2014 he has also been president of the Museo A come Ambiente in Turin.
    In 2007 he was awarded the honour of Commendatore of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He is a member of numerous Italian and European clubs, as well as a board member of various associations, including the Unione Industriale di Torino, and a member of the General Council of Confindustria.
