Carlos Di Mottola
Carlos Balestra di Mottola joined the d’Amico Group in 2003. Since May 2016 Carlos is the Chief Financial Officer and an executive Director of d’Amico International Shipping SA. Before that, from June 2008 Carlos was responsible for Business Development for the d’Amico Group. In this role, Carlos was involved in the establishment of a third party ship-management company, ISHIMA Pte Ltd, and a bunker trading company, RUDDER SAM. From October 2010, Carlos is also a partner of Venice Shipping and Logistics SpA, a private equity firm investing in the maritime transportation and logistics sectors. At d’Amico Carlos was also responsible for planning and financial control from September 2003 to June 2008. In this role, Carlos initially followed the d’Amico group’s international activities and from November 2006 was fully dedicated to d’Amico International Shipping SA, participating in the company’s Initial Public Offering in May 2007. Carlos is a non-executive Director of d’Amico International S.A. and of RUDDER SAM. Before joining d’Amico, Carlos obtained an MBA from Columbia Business School and accumulated five years of experience in Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers in London and New York, and at Banco Brascan in São Paulo. Carlos graduated in Economics from the London School of Economics.
