  • Eugenio Razelli has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of SAFILO GROUP S.p.A. since 26 April 2017. Razelli was a Director of SAFILO GROUP S.p.A. from 29 March 2010 until the day of his appointment as Chairman.
    A graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Genoa, he began his career at Fiat Auto and Zanussi, then became CEO of Gilardini Industriale in 1983. He subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility at Comind (General Manager of Stars and Politecna) and at Magneti Marelli. In the Fiat Group’s Components Sector in particular, he was General Manager of the Electrical Components Division and Executive Vice President Manufacturing of the Electromechanical Components Group, then also taking on the role of General Manager of the same group, until becoming President of Engine Control Systems in 1991.
    He moved to Pirelli Cavi in 1993 as Vice President Manufacturing, and later became President & CEO of Pirelli Cable North America.
    Returning to Italy in 1997, again at Pirelli Cavi, he was Senior Executive Vice President first of the Telecom division and then of the Energy division.
    From 2001 to 2003 he was President & CEO of Fiamm, a leading company in the battery market.
    From May 2003 to March 2005 he was Senior Vice President Business Development of Fiat S.p.A., responsible for Mergers & Acquisitions, Innovation and ICT strategies.
    From April 2005 to June 2015 he was Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Magneti Marelli.
    Today he is an Industrial Partner of F.S.I. (Fondo Strategico Italiano) and Capvis, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of OMR (Officine Meccaniche Rezzatesi).
    From 2005 to 2011 he was President of ANFIA (Associazione Nazionale Filiera Industria Automobilistica, which has represented the automotive industry in Italy since 1912) and from 2006 to 2011 a member of the Executive Board of Confindustria.
    From 2009 he held the position of Vice President of OICA (Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles) and from 2009 to 2011 that of President of FEDERVEICOLI, the sector federation of the national associations of vehicle and component manufacturers, created by an agreement between ANCMA (Associazione Nazionale Ciclo, Motociclo, Accessori), ANFIA and UNACOMA (Unione Nazionale Costruttori Macchine Agricole).
