Fabio Nichele

Fabio Nichele is an aerospace executive with over 15 years of leadership experience in the space industry, combining deep technical expertise with a strong track record in company building, operational execution and international growth.

He is currently Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Tyvak International, a Lockheed Martin company. Since 2021, he has led the company through a major scale-up phase, driving revenue growth, profitability and operational maturity, while navigating corporate audits, public listing processes in the United States and the company’s integration into Lockheed Martin.

Under his leadership, Tyvak International expanded from one-off in-orbit demonstration projects to satellite constellation services, strengthening its position as a reliable provider of satellite solutions for space agencies, institutional clients and global commercial operators. He has negotiated and closed contracts with leading space agencies and organizations, including ESA, ASI, EDA and the European Commission, as well as major commercial players.

Previously, Fabio served as Director of Operations at Tyvak International, where he managed day-to-day operations, introduced lean practices, improved accounting and revenue recognition processes, and coordinated a cross-functional team of engineers, project managers and administrative staff. He originally joined the company as co-founder and startup leader, contributing to the business plan, organizational build-up and early commercial development.

Fabio holds a PhD in Space Systems Engineering, an MSc in Space Systems and a BSc in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. He was also a visiting student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

His expertise spans executive management, aerospace innovation, M&A integration, scale-up execution, strategic partnerships, team leadership and risk management in complex space missions.
