Francesco Guarneri
A graduate in Economics and Business from Bocconi University in Milan, Francesco co-founded Guber SpA in 1991 (since 2018 Guber Banca SpA), a Brescia-based challenger bank specialised in the management of non-performing loans, of which he was Chief Executive Officer. After contributing to the growth and consolidation of the Bank, since January 2025 he has been a Director with responsibility for development, institutional relations and the identification of strategic opportunities for the application of Artificial Intelligence-based solutions. He was a member of the European Commission’s NPL Advisory Panel (DG FISMA) and a member of the Boards of Directors of companies operating in the enhancement of assets deriving from distressed loans, including Restar Srl and Star Finance Srl. He is a co-founder of Fondazione Etica, an organisation operating in the field of social impact innovation, and a member of the Advisory Board of Muffin Srl, a start-up dealing with smart subsidised finance.
