  • Giacomo Clerici was born in Lugano, Switzerland, in 1975. He is married and has two children.

    He is currently Managing Director of Coeclerici Far East (Pte) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coeclerici S.p.A., a privately held group founded in Genoa 120 years ago. The Group operates across several business areas, including coal extraction, trading, distribution, shipping and logistics, serving the power, steel and cement industries worldwide.

    He began his career as a junior controller at Pirelli in Milan, before joining RCS MediaGroup and later Graham Beck, a wine company based in South Africa. In 2004, he joined the family business, Coeclerici Group, where he held several roles, initially as Group Financial Controller and subsequently as Chief Financial Officer.

    In 2010, he became a member of the Board of Directors of Coeclerici S.p.A. In 2012, he moved to Singapore to oversee and drive the Group’s growth in the Asia-Pacific region.

    Giacomo has broad expertise in corporate finance, including syndicated loans, project finance, pre-export and trade finance, accounting under local GAAP and IFRS, as well as ERP, treasury systems and business intelligence. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Coeclerici Commodities SA.
