Luca Fontana
Luca Fontana is an accomplished Managing Director with nearly 30 years of international experience across large organizations in Capital Investments and Asset Management. His career spans multiple industries, including oil & gas, chemicals, transport infrastructure, power, industrial, marine and real estate.
He brings extensive expertise in corporate management, strategy and business development, sales and commercial operations, major program and project delivery, and mergers & acquisitions.
Over the past five years, he has led CapEx investments at Autostrade per l’Italia (ASPI), a €30+ billion program dedicated to expanding and upgrading Italy’s largest motorway network, a strategic asset at the core of the country’s logistics and mobility system.
Previously, Luca served as Chief Executive of AECOM’s Project & Construction Management Division in Asia Pacific, leading a 1,500-person operation across India, China, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Earlier in his career, he held senior executive roles at Foster Wheeler, a global EPC leader in the oil & gas, energy and infrastructure sectors, including Managing Director for Southeast Asia, where he led a 2,500-person team, and Senior Vice President for Strategy & Business Development, Asia Pacific.
He has served on several boards, including TECNE, Italy’s second-largest infrastructure engineering firm, and the Italy–Singapore Business Council (ISBC). He is also a member of the OECD Economic Policy Committee and Vice Chair of the Investment Committee at Business at OECD (BIAC), representing the global business community to the OECD.
Having lived and worked in Switzerland, Greece, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, Luca has developed a truly international perspective.
Happily married and father of two, he enjoys spending time with his family, healthy food and staying active through sport in all its forms. Curious and entrepreneurial by nature, Luca thrives on new challenges and initiatives that generate positive change.
