Maddalena Amoruso

Maddalena Amoruso is a senior executive with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, data science and technological innovation in the Italian business context. Since February 2024, she has held the position of Senior Director of the AI Delivery Centre at Intesa Sanpaolo. With a solid scientific background, she graduated in physics from the University of Pisa, completing her thesis at the Scuola Normale Superiore. During her career, she has held numerous technical and managerial positions in various sectors. In the banking and finance sector, she was Senior Partner and Head of Data Science at Prometeia from 2017 to 2022, and Head of Analytics and Deputy Director of the Data Office at Generali Assicurazioni from 2015 to 2017. In postal and communications services, she worked as Data Officer at Poste Italiane from 2022 to 2024, while in the early stages of her career she was manager of digital services in telecommunications companies. She also gained experience in the technology and software sector, particularly at SAS and Microsoft.
