Marco Gay
His roots lie in an entrepreneurial and industrial family which, guided by values and ethics, shaped his character and his vision of life, enriched and strengthened by the experiences he has been fortunate enough to live.
Growing up in contact with the Company and with business management was one of the most rewarding Masters he could have followed.
His entrepreneurial career began in the family company Proma S.p.a., operating in the glass-ceramics sector, later sold to Saint-Gobain Abrasivi S.p.a., and continued as a business consultant in commercial and human resources. At the same time he taught at the Istituto Europeo di Design and in courses organised by the University of Turin and the Piedmont Region.
Since 2000 he has been co-founder and CEO of WebWorking s.r.l., where he handles business management with a specialisation in Management for business, in particular Business Strategy, Communication, Web Marketing and Professional Training. In 2007 he acquired shares in Ottovolante S.r.l., a company specialised in Digital Projects for the pharmaceutical sector, and became its Chief Executive Officer.
He then joined the advertising agency GSW WorldWide Italy as CEO, with the task of integrating the Agency into the international network inVentiv Health. In 2012 he served as President of the Rotary Club Torino Superga.
In 2013 he co-founded AD2014 S.r.l., an innovative Start Up operating in the Internet of Things, and Torino1884 S.r.l., a company operating in Food&Beverage that develops points of sale in Italy and abroad in partnership with leading companies in the sector and produces products belonging to local and national tradition and history. In the latter company he also holds the position of Chairman.
Since May 2015 he has been a Board Member of Online Sim Spa.
Since November 2015 he has been a shareholder and Executive Vice President of Digital Magics S.p.A., a certified incubator of innovative startups and digital scaleups.
Since November 2015 he has been a member of the promoting committee of Fondirigenti.
Since May 2016 he has been a Board Member of Università Luiss Guido Carli.
Since November 2016 he has been a Board Member of Talent Garden S.p.A.
He began his path in the Confindustria system in 2004, joining the Young Entrepreneurs Group of the Unione Industriale di Torino, and in 2008 he became Vice President of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria Piemonte. At the end of that term, in 2011, he was unanimously elected President and at the same time appointed Vice President of Confindustria Piemonte.
He joined the Central Council of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria and, since May 2013, has been the national Delegate for the Young Entrepreneurs on Confindustria’s Technical Committee for the dissemination of Advanced Digital Services.
Promoter of the first G8 Young Business Summit of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria, held in Stresa in 2009, he took part as a Delegate in the subsequent Canadian, French and Russian stages of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA).
In September 2011 he worked actively with the Regional Councillor for Economic Development, Research and Innovation of the Piedmont Region on the implementation of the Piedmont Region’s Youth Plan, 10 economic and financial measures supporting youth employment and new entrepreneurship.
From 2012 to 2014, together with the Rector of the Politecnico di Torino, he chaired the Steering Committee and the Technical-Scientific Committee which, under a Memorandum of Understanding between Confindustria Piemonte and the Politecnico, identifies technology transfer and higher education as shared strategic objectives.
In 2012 he was Project Leader of the 42nd National Conference of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria in Santa Margherita Ligure.
In 2013 he was elected a member of the Executive Committee of Piccola Industria at the Unione Industriale di Torino.
Since 6 May 2014 he has been President of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria and Vice President of Confindustria.
