Maria Imbesi is a Partner at STEP Fund, where she focuses on Healthtech and Fintech investments. Over the past decade she led more than 50 pre-seed investments at Zest – with a particular concentration in Fintech and Insurtech, where she backed and exited companies including Moneymour (exit to Klarna), Crea (exit to +Simple), and Cardo (exit to Blackstone) – and structured VC vehicles for CDP Venture Capital, Intesa Sanpaolo, and Compagnia di San Paolo. She also directed Magic Mind, Italy’s first AI-focused accelerator. She holds board observer seats at Aptus.ai, Viceversa, and Spoki.
