Massimo Maré

A graduate in Economics and Business from Università “Luigi Bocconi” in 1989, he began his career in the family company, Bianchi Maré SpA, active for over a century in the textile machinery sector, managing from the late 1990s the downsizing caused by the technological transition, up to the sale of its assets to a group of former employees in 2013; in the course of this activity he managed the restructuring of its main supplier, the German company Piaff, taking it over in 2002 to restructure it and resell it to a German fund in 2005. He continued the other family activities in real estate (construction and management) and finance (leasing). Since 2005 he has managed Bianchi Maré Holding (BMH), diversifying its activities into fashion, shipping, entertainment and cosmetics. For four years he has been investing in startups in a structured way, in Italy and the UK, through direct stakes and investments in VC funds.
