Sally Calva

Sally Calva, I live in Turin and I am currently Medical Director of two Hospice wards for Palliative Care. My education followed a “passionate” path: first a degree in Psychology in Padua in 1978, then a three-year degree at the SAA in Turin (to follow my father, a textile entrepreneur), then the true passion of my whole life: a degree in Medicine and a Specialisation in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Pain Therapy. In my profession I have always used all the training I undertook, and for over twenty years I have been fortunate to work, as a lecturer, on Healthcare Communication in Intensive Care and in the interaction between healthcare team, patient and family. I am curious, I love technology (also for my profession) and I believe in the future of those who have new ideas to propose.
